Thread: Trophies?

Yeah, I never really saw the point in having trophies to games unless they were to unlock stuff for me.
They're still my favorite games in the series though.

I like Trophies for the reasons of extra things to do. Really they don't give you any reward, but I hardly use cheats and skins anyway, I just like reaching extra little challenges in trophies… gotta squeeze every little drop out of the games I have.

I agree with you on that when it comes to most games.

But some trophies go way over the top. If anyone has a platinum on MGS2 or MGS4 I congratulate you… oh and if you legitimately did Jak II and 3 you're pretty good as well.

Those are the games I'll never platinum, and I know it emoji

And then there's Sly and R&C Collection.

I hear stories of how easy Sly is, like you complete the games and you have 3 Platinums.

R&C just has the trophies tied to a bunch of skill points. I found Gladiator real easy, you didn't need any of the Exterminator cards.

I can't get Platinum on DL for the life of me! Modified on Maraxus is a pain. Also, you'll end up getting all Exterminator Cards for most of the trophies.

Speaking of ToD - did you know it finally got it's PS Store release?

Yep. I can't afford 15 Gb on my Playstation.

It'd be nice to complete the collection, but 15 Gigs is just too much

Is there any difference from the box version? I don't see a point of buying a digital copy of a game you already own in a box. I would understand reversed situation, for the sake of collection…

There's just something in me.
I never complete the Pokédex if I don't have both normal and shiny different genders of each Pokéman.

I would think you'd rather put the money towards a new game? I could buy the same game twice if the second version was on a totally different system, and it was a really good game. But ToD digital and disc is identical!

I am guilty of buying SAC, Size Matters, Jak and Daxter Trilogy and Rayman: Origins on home and portable consoles, but to buy them twice on the same console would never cross my mind… I mean I could instead buy Nexus :P

It's something I can't explain.
Maybe it's just that I'm too lazy to swap discs, but want a shiny box just to show-off.
