Thread: Games that need to be ported to PSVita

That, Uncharted, Killzone and the 2 Rayman games are on other systems. The Vita versions have their ups and downs, but really they arent new system sellers. The only thing that makes these sell Vita is the convenience of playing them on the go.

EDIT: By the way the Sly trilogy is coming to Vita, so if it turns out just as good as everyone says it was on PS3 I will buy it and give that rodent a chance.

Disgaea 3 and 4?

They aren't my thing and I know nothing about them, sorry.

Is the Vita really in that much need of exclusives?

Well not really. As the topic of discussion here hints at, we're all fine with ports as long as they are done right.

The only thing is that I worry about the limited attention it gets. And lots of attention it gets is usually negative. I mean it's safe to say we all really enjoy our Vitas, but it doesn't seem that the majority of the 'gamers' out there with opinions on it think the same way. Its not really failing, but it certainly isn't doing well like the PSP did.

The PSP didn't really do that good in it's first years though.

No it didn't, but it did do better than the Vita.

Everything has a slow start though, PS3, PS4, Obox One, PSP, PS Vita. It's just that the Vita is getting a bit too much negativity around it don't you think? Even Sony admits it isn't doing as well as they anticipated, and that the PSP did better.

I guess that's true, although the only thing they need are some exclusives. That's one of the reasons the PSP began doing so well.
If they keep the format they're going with now the Vita won't go very far.

Yes right now it is a PORTable console. Its just loaded up with existing IPs and its main feature that everyone is buying it for is PS4 remote play… Silly me, buying it for PS3 remote play.

I enjoy playing Rayman Legends and LBP on the Vita so much! And maybe in a few days I'll say the same about Killzone, but its games like Tearaway that really make me think 'Yea, this was totally worth it!'

They could at least pop a sandbox on the thing That I have played and liked like inFamous or GTA V (I know, GTA V is HUGE, and inFamous is tiny In comparison)

I think that another awesome thing for it to have would be a legit exclusive sequel, kind of like what they've done with Uncharted and Killzone. Imagine that for Rayman (which wouldn't happen, ever) or Ratchet & Clank.

I thought IG said they wouldn't focus on the Vita. Hope ND doesn't have this mindset.

Of course ND won't touch the Vita, and neither will Insomniac. They create games for consoles, and they don't do portable systems. The games would need to be made by someone else.

Maybe they could let Sanzaru have a go at R&C and J&D, they did a good job on Sly 4 in my opinion.

Well as long as High Impact don't do Jak and Daxter, they'll be fine.

Let them have it!

You know what, I think that Sanzaru should have a go at the Ratchet & Jak games too. I'm by no means a Sly fan, but people seem to like Sly 4 quite a bit, and knowing how difficult it is to please people these days I guess this would mean Sanzaru are good at picking up those sorts of games.

The only thing I hold against Sanzaru is the PS2 port of SAC. That's why I'm sort of on the edge about recommending them port something over to the Vita. But it would be fun to see what sort of job they do, so I say go for it, do whatever you like and I'll buy the games because it has Ratchet & Clank (or Jak and Daxter) in the title!

By the way I thought High Impact Games made a damn fine game with that Jak game. It's just that it was a very bad Jak game. If it was a new IP I would like it a lot more.
