Thread: Do You Think Ratchet: Deadlocked should be 'Reimagined&

Also, glad to know I'm not the only one who sees Sasha in this pic emoji Though to be honest, the more I think about it, the more I doubt it is her. Yeah, that could be a crown (though we can't know for sure beacuse of the helmet), her eyes are blue, but at the same time… She's missing her fur, her lips are different and she's overall so humanoid, so… Markazian, which made some people consider her Talwyn. This might be a redesign of Sasha or Tal, but if you think of it, none of the PS3-era redesigns ever gone that far, not even the one for Stuart Zurgo. And why would they change an existing character so much if that character is not really that necesarry in this story. It'd just start controversies among the fans, so it's safer to go with a new one (which is why I think this is a new character).

Personally, I think that Ratchet: Deadlocked will never be reimagined. Indeed, the major difference is that Clank is no longer on Ratchet's back. A difference which had upset a lot of fans. To be honest, it's true that Ratchet: Deadlocked is nothing but shooting. Nevertheless, this game has some qualities thanks to its great musics composed by David Bergeaud, its online multiplayer, its armory really fun and dangerous, and its several vehicles which are really sympathetic to drive. In addition to the main storyline, players can also compete in a number of Dread challenges on each level, complete side tasks and collect skill points. Ratchet: Gladiator has many extras to keep players battling against the evil Vox for hours. Besides, I agree that the gameplay was really awesome. Overall, Deadlocked was a solid game and a good Ratchet title.

With all the respect to David and all his great work, but what do people find in Deadlocked soundtrack, because I never got it. It was so dull, boring, forgetable (I only remember two tracks from it), uninspired… All these tracks sounded practically the same. Comapred to what he's done in the original trilogy, espcecially the Going Commando music this is so weak.

That concerns me a bit ._.

We all know this, I was just asking if it deserved it. Insomniac really doesn't care about that game in my opinion. It's not fair because people who liked it REALLY loved it and people who didn't like it REALLY hated it, so it's a controversy.

Honestly, I loved the DL Soundtrack. It wasn't dull, it was dark. Many songs were actually uplifting and just gave you that "This is so badass" vibe. I love ALL of David's songs and I wish he was still composing. However, out of all of his soundtracks, I listened to DL's the most. In the end, I love them all equally though.

How dare you make a "badass Bergeaud" playlist without this Darkstar emoji

Sorry GlitchKing, the "Shield Survival" was cool, but I still find tracks on Darkstar's playlist much better and closer to my definition of 'badass'.

I think you guys are confusing "Badass" and "uplifting" or "Dramatic"
The songs i'm hearing aren't badass, but they're more uplifting and dramatic. Those songs don't get me pumped up to kill some enemies, they make me feel like something big is approaching.

A definition from a dictionary: "distinctively tough or powerful; so exceptional as to be intimidating". I don't see why some these songs couldn't fit in that category. Well, surely not all of them (I certainly wouldn't classify Metropolis as 'badass', same to Holostar Studios), but I still find them much more absorbing than any of the DL tracks. I guess it's a matter of taste - I actually find A4O to have one of the best OSTs in the series, despite the fact most people disliked it. So let's just agree we find different types of music 'badass' and move on to some other topic.

I dislike DL because of his soundtrack, the worst soudtrack ever, too differents from R&1, 2 and 3. Even if David Bergeaud is the best for me !
I'm so dissapointed !

Whenever I listen to a DL track, all I can imagine is a guitarist improvising and looking around to see if anyone's still paying attention.
Also, I don't hate guitars. Blackwater City has guitars and it's great, DL has guitars but they're not so great.

As the Wrench Turns is still one of my favorite tracks in the series.

To me it just sounds like any other track in the game.

It sounds like more synth PS Move Heroes…

I find only a few memorable songs from DL, but those rock.

But how can you all keep talking about Bergeaud without mentioning his SAC soundtracks!? Spaceship Graveyard, Klunk's Lair, Le Paradis de Tricheurs Casino, anyone?

I actually think that with most of these tracks David managed to make the loop more subtle, as opposed to earlier games. Take The Showers, for example.
