Since I was a bit disappointed by how FFA turned out, I thought I'd share what I would have liked to see in a multiplayer Ratchet & Clank game.
First off, no tower defense. In order to win the player must kill their opponent(s) three times. There's still a main base, however it serves no real purpose other than to restock on ammo and health.
Each player must choose a total of 3 weapons and 2 gadgets to bring into battle (you start off with only a blaster and grenade launcher for weapons and a swingshot and hover boots for gadgets, but you'll unlock more weapons as you level up) and then they will be brought to a character customisation screen, where there will be various attributes (speed, jump and defense) that the player can upgrade using 5 skill points (these upgrades don't carry over onto other battles).
During battle, the player can go to his base and downgrade any of his attributes in favour of upgrading another one.
In order to make things more balanced, each time a player is killed he will be given one skill point.
Basically the game would revolve a lot more around customisation and upgrading and the tower defense mechanic would be thrown out in favour of the more traditional deathmatch.
I just thought I would share this and I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on it.
