Thread: I can't believe i never noticed this!

OK, so I was reading a book on desert creatures yesterday when it hit me…Ratchet is perfectly adapted to a desert environment! IE Fastoon!
He has large ears (for good heat dispersal), large feet (to cross soft sand, like camels), light coloured fur to reflect heat, and is a small size (desert creatures tend to be smaller as a smaller body is easier to run in barren conditions.
Has anyone else noticed this?

IDK much, but interesting, I know Insomniac are quite good at doing little things like that and not telling anyone why (like the origins of Qwark's name)

You know the origins of Qwarks name? You mean Copernicus leslie Qwark? …okay.. is there anyone else with that name emoji

I would be really interrested.. TELL ME emoji

I'm not sure if this is what Ratchetruler meant, but Copernicus (of different middle and last names than Qwark) was the first to theorise that the Earth orbited the sun…

ANNND he has sand colored fur :oui:

What I meant was, IG put alot of thought into thier games, especially the first! (because they had nothing to work with, unlike GC and UYA) Qwark's name I beileve originates from Quark, either a Star Trek character, or the name of an atom wich I beileve is very small and weak. Though I am not 100% sure, but that does sound about right!

I never realised that. But that's probably because I don't study anthropology. Regardless, that's an intersting piece of Fridge Brilliance.

But what about gray Lombaxes, e.g. Alister Azimuth?

But what about gray Lombaxes, e.g. Alister Azimuth?

He's still a very pale colour. Pale colours reflect heat in desert conditions. He may be a different shade, but he'll still be able to tolerate heat well. What does fridge brilliance mean, by the way?

By the way, isnt it creepy that Azimuth is GREY emoji

I thought he was white with red stripes? emoji

I also saw him as white with Red stripes…

Fridge brilliance means something you are confused or think nothing of at first but then you fully realise the intentions behind it.

Also, Ratchet isn't really small, per se. He's short for sure (5 foot 1, same as a short human like myself), but still…

Whatever he is, he is different.. why emoji

He's not the only one with fur like that,

if you look at the pictures in the cutscene where Azimuth tells Ratchet why he was banished (I can't remember the title of that cutscene…emoji You can see quite a few Lombaxes with that fur colour,

I guess it's like most species, I mean, not all humans have the same skin colour, not all pigeons have the same feather colour… Why should all Lombaxes have the same fur colour? emoji
