Thread: Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus

ItN's about the same level as QfB on my favourite R&C's list.

And on wich level QfB is?

1:UYA
2: ToD
3: DL
4: GC
5: QfB
6: R&C
7: ACiT
8: FFA
9: SM
10: A4O
I'd say it's pretty good.

What's up with your hate towards ACiT?

I believe that would require a whole new thread.
But if you look at all the times I've talked about ACiT, you just might figure it out.

I don't mean to pick apart your favorite games, but why do you like QfB so much? I mean it's short, and there is very little reason to play it more than once or twice. It has the least replay value out of every game on that list, and it's the shortest. And there are no charge boots, hover boots or jetpacks so it all moves a lot slower than all of the other games (more reason why replaying it is not normally as fun).

I think it's a great game, but it wouldn't be above R&C1, ACiT or FFA on my list.

This one is short… er.

A: I really love the Pirate setting
B: The music is phenomenal.
C: Yes, it's slower, but there's always stuff to do.
D: It's got the best platforming in the series.
E: It's short so it's great to go back to.

Same as Darkstar, new OmniWrench is truly a fair exchange for all the fancy gadgets you mentioned emoji Not only it had the most fun platforming, there was a great balance between it and shooting sections. Also, there are some hidden treasures and secrets that are hard to find first time you play the game. I'm not just talking about those caverns on Hoolefar… And really, you like FFA more? On my list, it is below SM emoji

QfB is one of my favorite games in the series. As short as it is, it is awesome.

I've played each game probably more than 10 times, and I can't see myself returning to QfB for any reason. We have pirates in ToD, the weapons and environments were all (but a few) formed using assets from ToD (therefore making the game slightly less special to me)

The only thing you can do in QfB is collect mods and bolts. And your are pretty much guaranteed to buy everything first time without any money issues. In most other games you get skins, gold bolts, skill points, challenge mode, arenas, bolts, cheats, and in only a few games ship mods, raritanum, gold weapons, platinum bolt mods and so on…

And the fact it was without a doubt the easiest R&C game sort of puts me off it.

As for the 1 new mechanic being the wrench (same as ACiT) is was kind of okay, but really all of the puzzles were extremely easy to figure out, although I will admit they were far better than ACiT's puzzles. But they pale in comparison to others like the Refractor and Clank puzzles.

Clank time puzzles were far the greatest puzzles ever designed for R&C. It's a shame that some people are too lazy don't like them and keep PMing Insomniacs not to do such thing ever again. Fortunately, they listened to people who liked them and we got Netherverse emoji

Wait, lots of people didn't like the time puzzles? I was not aware of that, I thought they were popular.

I remember people angry angry at these puzzles, as they didn't get all the gold bolts because of them (you know, the memory banks challanges…emoji. They were PMing Insomniacs to make sure they are gone for sure around FFA's announcment.

Oh yea, the gold bolts were a pain alright! But overall just going through the game the challenges were pretty good, and most people enjoyed the creativity of them.

Gold bolts weren't pain, they were just challanging. But it was really fun to solve them emoji

Well they were still a piece of cake compared to anything in Jak II or MGS2 VR (which is now my number 1 most challenging thing in the gaming world)

It's been year and a half since I bought it and I still haven't completed J&D Trilogy emoji

I finally got the game beat 100%, just missing the pre-order bonus still. Contacted Sony and they sent me a code for it, but they instead of the armor, they sent me a second code for the Quest for Booty download, which I have had that game for 4 years now, so I don't even need the voucher that came with the game.

Hey Gerben, how do you feel knowing that Detroit was featured in this game's credits?
