But can adults legally buy an EC game without a son or younger brother present?

Uncharted? I'm pretty sure that's 16+…

Oh, right. I hold them seperate of my PS3 collecion.

Uncharted says 16+ on the disc too. My Spanish version of Uncharted 3 doesn't even have a different age n the disc. I guess its pretty unique that this happens in The Netherlands then.

Eureka, look at this. The Final Fantasy XIII trilogy is rated 16+. But in The Netherlands you are allowed to play it 12+.

No, said adults are immediately disintegrated at the register

I would love to see that.

Well that's how it works in this country. It can get quite ridiculous with R18 games. The retailers wouldn't even allow my mum to buy GTA because they saw me and her enter and leave the store together earlier that afternoon!

It really does get ridiculous here.

Uh… not that I really like 18+ games, really.

I find that's a little over the top… how about movies? Does that work the same as games on your side? Because here nobody could care less about the age on a movie.. unless it's one of them 'adult movies' ofcourse.

Imnot much oc a movie-goer. But I assume its the same basic thing again, exept probably a little less extreme.

Cinemas are harsh here too though, but retailers that sell the same movie on DVD are not. (makes sense right?)

No, its the same thing.

It's funny you say that, because when getting out movies and games that are R16, there can't be kids around. But it's surpisingly easy to get a kid into an R16 movie! Me and some friends went to go see Iron Man 3, and then found out that one of them was looking after his little brother (he would have been no older than 12). We got 1 person to purchase all the tickets, split them among ourselves, and had them checked as we entered. No problems.

Renting that movie out from the video store with the kid around however…

Nice trick. Did this happen again?

I could always go anywhere, whether I was old enough or not. I was quite tall for my age. I even got to drive a stickshift jeep in an attraction, because I was 1,70 meters tall.

We haven't tried since then. And really we weren't trying that hard the first time. I didn't even notice the kid until we were walking out. Oh you should have seen the look on my face!

I've never really done anything that requires an age-limit besides movies and games. I still haven't even gotten my license, because I probably wouldn't have anywhere to drive, that I couldn't walk or teleport to.
