You are worried the movie might be rated (effectively) 13+ and I'm worried it might be 3+
If the inclusion of a pop song featuring Courtney Gears is enough to put the game/movie up in the movie equivalent of "T", then the requirements for a T rating must be pretty tame… that or pop music is worse than I thought (I really wouldn't know).
Personally, I feel that the family-friendly nature of Ratchet & Clank is getting a bit annoying. I mean even a 10-year-old me would agree that All 4 One and Nexus don't feel like they are targeting the same audience Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal were.
It's hard to put my finger on it, but I feel that moments like Ratchet's chats with Susie in A4O and the ending of Nexus are incredibly cringe-worthy. I mean I don't mind a slowdown in pace for something serious like Azimuth in ACiT, but in A4O (at least) it just felt childish and completely illogical.
Nefarious is really the best example. He was cool in UYA, cool in ACiT, alright for the fist part of A4O, but from the middle of A4O onward, Nefarious changed in a way I will never accept. This was because there had to be an obvious lesson they learned, so everyone in the family playing the game could feel happy that in the end Nefarious was kind of changed by the adventure they had been on. Why does there always have to be a lesson?!
EDIT: After thinking for a few moments about Courtney Gears, I have to know… what is it about her that makes her bad enough to bump the rating up at all? Her music and lyrics are completely harmless.
