Aaaand still no news of any upcoming Ace Combat games. At least it's almost 2015!

I got it a few years ago on the Namco forums. You could actually trade in the number of your posts for cool items. If only RG had that, I wonder what I could do with 3000 points. emoji

Crikey… that jacket looks cool!

And if RG does the same thing as Namco, what can I get with 250 points? Probably a Clank backpack, Ratchet's gloves, plush Lombax ears, or Ratchet's cap emoji

You might be able to get a small piece of paper with ink printed on it in the shape of words or something, for 250 posts. However at 2,500 and above I believe a free car would only be fair.

But seriously though, I don't think RG will ever have that system implemented.

A free car, in a form of virtual car, perhaps emoji

It also resulted in a lot of spam, so I left.

Yea, I could totally see that sort of thing happening.

You could have all sorts of rules in place to make sure that prizes are distributed very strictly.

For example, threads like the word chain and one word story would be completely in violation of the system.

I believe posts were like 25 points and a new topic 80. So most of the time random topics started popping up with barely any texts in the OP. Eventually they started 'approving' posts and topics, but I think the point system doesn't exist anymore nowadays.

Well, now the only possible way for news to happen in December is if CMG finishes total production of the Ratchet and Clank Movie, or if Insomniac has the heart to post a little something on Christmas. And of course, Kevin Munroe might do some stuff…

Dude, no game stuff is going to be shown in this year, the Christmas is coming, everyone will be on vacation. Same with the movie. Patience Animovie, patience, don'r rush things.

I've been having patience for 6 months!

I've been having patience for 6 months!

So did I, and we've got to be patient a little longer.

Afer the Uncharted 4 gameplay, M$ decided to become the publisher of Rise of the Tomb Raider instead of Square Enix.

Guess I'm gonna need an Xbox 360. A used Xbox 360. Cause the time I'm paying full scale for an Xbox console is when they take the money from my cold dead hand.

I thought you already had a used Xbox 360?

Personally I try not to take sides in this squabbling between Xbox versus PlayStation, because they both make mistakes, they both try to fix them, and I've never given any Xbox games a chance before, so there would be way too much bias towards PlayStation if I said anything at all. I wouldn't dis the entire MS company though, because personally I am a big fan of their operating systems. Mostly because the alternatives don't seem very enjoyable at all… Linux is too "complex", Apple is too "simple", would be putting it nicely

Once upon a time all nations lived in peace. Until Micro$oft attacked. You do not make a 20 year old IP (which origin is the PlayStation for shit's sake) excluisve on the platform to join the Tomb Raider family last. They're bastards and this is the kind of crap that makes me start to actually hate the Xbox brand. Bayonetta 2 on Nintendo only? Well otherwise it wouldn't have been made. Street Fighter V on anything but Xbox One? Sony helped creating it. Rise on Xbox One? F you. M$ didn't do anything to make that game better. M$ threw money at it so it could compete against Uncharted 4.

This is the current timeline:

- Rise of the Tomb Raider coming to all platforms
- Rise of the Tomb Raider exclusive to Xbox
- Rise of the Tomb Raider timed excluisve
- Rise of the Tomb Raider now published by Micro$oft

My god… make up your f**ing mind.

Edit.
Alright, let's do this over. I have nothing against the Xbox.. correction 'had'. But they pull this and they're on my list. Imagine Tool of Destruction and Quest for Booty savely released on PS3. And suddenly A Crack in Time on 360. I don't care about the small details. It's the exact same thing.

Well as we all know, the Xbox brand has had a hard time competing with Sony's exclusives. Just the sheer number of IPs Sony built up over the last 20 years has probably made Microsoft start to worry about the Xbox One's not-as-good success when compared to the PS4. So what should they do? Create new IPs! They are doing this with Insomniac Games, which is great for Xbox fans AND FOR INSOMNIAC GAMES. Of course sometimes publishers will want to acuire already popular IPs to attract attention to their systems. Obtaining Tomb Raider would be a strategy to get people like you (Hardcore Tomb Raider fans) to buy their system.

I can understand your frustration in being required to jump onto a whole new platform to play a game you would have expected to be playable on your current one. I myself was pretty outraged by Nintendo trying to make Rayman: Legends a Nintendo Exclusive. As a Hardcore Rayman fan, that made me think pretty rotten things about Nintendo… but I knew that this sort of thing could happen to any IP that isn't locked into a really serious exclusivity deal already, much like what we are now seeing with Tomb Raider.

The only difference being, that Rayman fans from all over decided they weren't having a piece of it, and got Ubisoft to change their mind… really, it was Ubisoft who owned the IP and cut the deal with Nintendo, so they were the people I should have been mad at in hindsight.
