If you punch your self and it Hurt's are you weak or Strong

You'd be weak if it didn't hurt. So from my view: strong. emoji

Are you talking about lightning rods? The things that only the Czech believe were not invented by Benjamin Franklin?

As much as they look ancient, I think they work. I may have got a B in Physics a few times but I believe that when lightning strikes, it goes the very quoted 'path of least resistance' to the ground. Apparently that's the metal rod, since it goes straight to the ground. I have no idea if it is better for the lightning goes through metal or air, but it somehow works because otherwise people wouldn't happily ugly up their houses with those.

This kinda thing, usually found on a church:

So that is what your plugs look like over there, as seen on the image of the Surge Protector? I can't say I've seen that design before.

Strong, definitely.

I still don't understand why plugs aren't universal.
You need like 57 differen converters when you're on vacation!

It's a catch 22, because if you get punched and claim that it hurts then you are weak. And if you punch someone and it hurts them then you are strong. However if you punch yourself and it hurts then you are both and neither.

EDIT: Oh and Heather, those are called wind vanes. We have one my brother made for his geography class. Their sole purpose is meant to be for indicating the direction of the wind.

Touché, Master Ruler.

Oh, I get it now.

Another populair one:

If a tree falls in the woods, but there's no one to hear it. Does it make a sound?

That one sure is popular. However I do believe the answer is: Yes, it does make a sound.

I tried to read the Wikipedia entry, but I fell asleep. Something about 'what you believe sound means'

I don't know the actual answer. But I, too, would say yes. Doesn't matter if someone hears it, it makes sound. emoji

Yes. I mean you could look at something like a videogame as an example. If on the other side of a map a sound effect is played, but it is far away enough that the sound does not actually come through the speakers on your TV, then is it played? Yes. Because the game code went to all the trouble of making that sound play. It's just a shame you were not within the listening range.

In real life I believe it is not much different. Sounds are made, people miss them. But they did happen.

Oh, what would happen if Pinocchio says "my nose will grow?" This one's complicated.

Back to the one with the tree - If it falls and nobody hears it, it becomes a hipster's favourite song.

Oh, what would happen if Pinocchio says "my nose will grow?" This one's complicated.

That is what we like to call a paradox. It sure is a good thing nature doesn't allow for these situations in real life… I think.

Nothing should happen since it's an event that hasn't happened yet and if it does grow in the future from him telling a lie then he would've been telling the truth so his nose won't grow because of that prediction but it would grow from the lie he told that made his nose grow.

Dividing by zero?
