Question for Vita owners! 2 actually.

- When I connect my Vita to the internets and log in on PSN does it download a lot of crap like the PS3 does?

Yes. There are all sorts of new applications and stability fixes you have to look forward to, such as: A calender app, PS4 Link, Panoramic camera, Parental controls, a vastly improved content manager, and possibly more along those lines. BUT folders and a maximum of like 1,000 (guesstimate) apps has been added. I recommend connecting if just to get the patches and frimware. There's none of that Singstar crap. (and even if there was, you could hide it in a 'unused' folder). Oh and PMing is really good on the Vita, as well as party chat… but I somehow doubt you'd use these incredibly useful additions to PSN.

- When I started my PS-Allstars up afer loging in ánd loging off PSN I got an update that showed all the DLC characters and levels in-game. It also changes the skins of AI characters in the single player campaign. I hate it. I was wondering if I perhaps can ignore this update and keep selecting 'No'.

I don't quite get what you mean here? In that game there are DLC characters, but the game doesn't sove 'em in your face or anything. If you don't like them, you can simply… not select them?

AS far as PS-Allstars goes. Kat, Isaac etc. are DLC characters and Heavenly Sword a DLC stage, yes? Usually they don't show, but when you connect to PSN it launches an update that will show them in-game. With a little lock icon on them because I haven't bought them. Which will always be locked because I ain't gonna buy them.
I always play the single player campaign, I like doing that. But not when all the AI characters are hotpink or Kratos become brown and etc. I want the AI's skins to be default.

I noticed he was buzzing around the Movie thread at the IG Forums, but I stood back to let the more interested fans have their chats.

I'm as into the series as the next guy, but saying "I love you TJ" then repeating pointless questions that he either can't answer or has answered a hundred times in the past isn't how I roll.

Although I do really like his work on R&C, saying "Thanks for doing the Ratchet & Clank plot up a bit" would probably be about as original as saying "Girly Lombaxes MUST have tails! RE-WRITE THIS IMMEDIATELY!"

Then again the question about his age was interesting… we have official intel from the pro: Ratchet hasn't aged since he started up! Makes sense to me. I wouldn't want to see him slowly getting old and turning all mature on us! (Which he seems to want to do anyway )

And how does he retire when he's only been a hero for less than a year?

I'm pretty sure there's about 2-3 years worth of SAC holovideos on Nefarious' shelf in UYA.

In terms of length of time from Tachyon's attack on Fastoon to "present day," I imagined it happened when Ratchet was just a baby. So that would be around 15 years ago. At least, that's how old he is in my head.

Given the gaps between games, that would make him 24 by All 4 One.

It's funny, we get asked about Ratchet's age all the time - and to me, Ratchet is always around 15. Same rules as the Simpsons - even though they celebrate holidays and birthdays every year, none of the characters age a day. Bart should be pushing 40 by now, but he's still a kid. Same thing with Ratchet. A writer may come along one day who disagrees or decides to shake things up, but to me, Ratchet is still just into his teens.

So while the universe keeps moving on, our heroes (and villains?) probably aren't going to age. It's better this way.
