You can also see it in his character model:

So his tail doesn't drag along the ground anymore, and he has quite a bit more common sense? It's not out of the question that this is how some 15/16 year olds would be in a situation like that. Besides, he may not age but he can learn a thing or two. He can develop as a character, just like everyone else. Although personally I'd like to see more immaturity from him!

Oh well, TJ won't be writing him anymore, so who knows what will happen? Maybe he will start acting his apparent age like Nathan Drake? Or maybe he'll get real serious and depressed like the Snakes and Raidens of the world.

The point is that you never see ANY 15-16 year old act as mature as Ratchet from ACiT onwards. And you also don't grow if you don't age.
He did say that he SAW him as a 15 year old, not that he was…

Anyway, I wouldn't mind seeing a Dante-esque personality.

In my idea Ratchet is age-less. As in: he does get older in personality, but he doesn't have a specific age himself'. He's not like the Splinter Cell-guy, who (if I'm not mistaken) gets older on the outside too.

I think we're all right to some extent. Ratchet has changed in personality and physical appearance, but that doesn't mean it has anything to do with his age. His proportions keep getting changed around, mostly for gameplay reasons, and as people move on and learn they tend to become wiser and more mature… it's just going to suck seeing Ratchet surpass the Nathan Drake level of maturity!

Seeing it's Insomniac making R&C games, I think that's near impossible. emoji

Did you forget he's writing the movie? The movie that will be seen by more people than the ones who ever played the games. The one that will probably become a new canon?

Cloud Strife has never been the same since Advent Children…

To be honest, I'm more interested in the games. Ratchet & Clank will be a game series first and a movie 3rd (behind the comics).

But I am looking forward to the movie just as much as the next guy. It's just that it's not going to effect the already established big picture. (Due to it being an origin story)

Yeah, but the next R&C fanbase generation will be made of people introduced to the series in theateres. Just be aware of that.

Well those people will probably end up running into the games, and maybe play them. We can't erase the past… especially when it keeps getting re-mastered!

Maybe there will be more movies after this one, but I'm not too concerned by that fanbase yet… infact I don't see why I should be bothered at all by them, if they enjoy the movie, good on 'em, and welcome!

Where the heck am I going with this?

I just meant that TJ will have a big impact on Ratchet as a character, also in james.

An NTSC version of ToD sneaked it's way into my local VG-retailer. Pretty damn cool if I can say so myself.

Anyone else that has a crush on different verions of the same game?

What's NTSC?

NTSC and PAL are 'region codes'. In the case its the American version of ToD.

These are the ToDs I've got so faremoji
