Thread: Game Movies

Doom wasn't all that great either, only things in the movie that were the same as the game were the BFG 9000 and the fact that they were on mars. Everything else was totally different, like the fact that instead of fighting demons and zombies, they were fighting an ancient alien race and people infected by said race.

Still gotta do that Resi marathon with my sister. But at least I won't have to worry about damaging my steelbooks and opening my sealed LE. Cause I found this slick little Trilogy pak. Wish me the best of luck, cause I'll be seeing all 5 in one night… sooner or later. (Retribution in 3D. My sister is so lucky, she has a 3D TV) ^^

If there was a movie made of the Last of Us I'd say it would probably rock emoji

Sorry for the bump but I found this video...

… yeah…

That's actually pretty freakin cool.

So the very reason you are posting is…
..the point of the comparison, which is…
Hmm…

Recognize this one...

Uncanny valley, anyone? emoji

Matrix actually

Maybe, but I'd also expect something more… original from 60 million dollars.

Meh, still cool. That's one of the few Resi films I've seen so far btw.

I thought you had seen all of them emoji
Anyway, I just didn't like how he was finished off with a shotgun because of his idiocy… and the omission of the rocket launcher finish.

Well… in the meantime I did manage to get all of em. But me and my sister still haven't been able to marathon them in one night. Last time we only made it through Frozen and Resi 1 - barely - before we fell asleep.

I didn't really go into detail about it. But I do think it's kinda cool they copied that fight to the game (or the other way around?)

I have never played any of those games or seen any of the movies. But that just looked awful. I mean the game was doing so much of a better job than the movie. That is exactly why I wouldn't want any Metal Gear movies.

They work as games, but as movies… well I couldn't be so sure? I mean all of MGS3 existed in areas that looked absolutely NOTHING like Russia, so would they choose to redesign the place to actually look like Russia? I bet they would. And the games could never keep a consistent serious tone, which was actually quite a cool thing. Seeing a movie attempt the small bursts of stupidity/silliness would probably feel a bit more off.

They'd also have to cut a lot of plot out, and that would annoy me too… although maybe not so much with MGS2, I mean that was great and all, but I wouldn't mind so much if it were slightly more straightforward (for the sake of a movie).
