Thread: Pretty Random Movie Thread

Maybe it is a completely new planet. Didn't they say that they would introduce afe of those?

It would be a little strange for the entire movie to be based in just Metropolis.

Ratchet is said to isolate himself on a distant planet…
DARN SPOILERS!

That picture makes me question 2 things:
1. The number of planets in the movie. The movie can't possibly have as many planets as the game, can it? In a game you will also have side quests or missions not really that important or not related to the plot at all. These you just can't have in a movie. I don't think they would create a world only for less than 5 min of screentime, just enough for the protagonists to land, beat a creature or two, take a gadget / component of some sort and than take off to the next planet where they actually need the thingy. In other words, the way a plot unravels in a video game won't work in a movie. So, on which planets will the action take place? (besides Veldin and Metropolis of course)
2. Cora! Judging from the alleged plot, Cora seems to have a pretty important role in the story. Ratchet simply quits and it's up to Clank and CORA to bring him back! I'm not ok with that. You can't just throw in a new character and give him/her such an important weight on their shoulders! It's like saying: "Drek would have conquered the galaxy and Ratchet wouldn't have become the great hero we all know and love if it wasn't for CORA!". No, just no…
Or is Cora supposed to replace Talwyn? If yes, then that doesn't make any sense!!! And if not, why do they look soooo similar? They're both humanoid females with long ears and red hair. The only difference is that Cora doesn't have a tail. WHYYY????

Is nobody curious about their likeness?

emoji Even the poses are so similar!

As I've said previously, Cora doesn't seem to have a tail. Besides that it's the same species. But then again I ask why? I know they're trying to include as much of the future series species as possible, but why did they choose such a similar design? There has to be a purpose… Maybe it's her sister or something, I have no idea. In the end, I don't care that much what she is, but who she is supposed to be. It's a NEW character after all, you can't say that she is the reason why Ratchet's adventures did't stop with Drek…. Great, now I'm repeating myself. emoji

They probably need to fit her a different personality. Then it would make sense not to make her necessarily Talwyn to avoid confusion?

Either that, or TJ fixman didn't want to break canon, so he created a new character, which is understandable.

what happend to angela cross and sasha!?emoji

Maybe someone cut off her tail? Other than that.. The resemblance is uncanny.

its probobly the style of the game that makes them look like eachother

From that picture alone, you can tell Cora will be the rebellious tomboy girl that never follows orders and is always chewing gum.
You can almost smell the stereotype from here.

I imagine this movie will have some clich'es, but maybe Eloris will be an original character. We know she is a top leader in the Galactic Ranger ranks.

Yes, I am aware of that. Though, I don't think that Cora is a Markazian, since she doesn't have a tail.
