Maybe Cora is a male Markazian and male Markazians don't have tails :V
Hey, judging from the face and name, Cora is a female (I'm pretty sure that was just a joke 
). Unless it turns out to be a different race of Markazian (like Lombaxes, one race has yellow fur while the other has white fur).
If the Angela Cross thing has taught me anything, it's that this character is a Markazian. It's very possible her tail was either cut off, or is hidden. You know, like how Ratchet's tail was hidden in Deadlocked.
I am just glad I was mostly correct about this character. I knew from that picture this was a Markazian just like Talwyn. I never considered the character to be either Sasha or Angela, because she just didn't look like them.
Or maybe they decided Markazians shouldn't have tails, just as they decided Blargs shouldn't have glowing, pupil-less eyes and pointy heads.
But, Markazia is in Polaris, while the movie takes place in Solana. That's just too far, unless she is quite like Ratchet, sent to Solana for safety reasons.

Maybe the Galactic Rangers also deal with things outside of Solana? According to ToD, it's not really a particularly long trip. And even if it was they could all just be using gravimetric warp drives or something similar to travel between galaxies.

Now that I have Photoshop, let me try to highlight a few things:
- The curves of their face are almost exactly the same.
- The ears are the same aside from their angle. Which is slightly different.
- They both have those 'freckles'. But Cora has some on her forehead too.
Let's just wait for Rainmaker's confirmation.
I'll bet we'll either find out when the movie is out, or when the game is out. I am sure the game will answer our questions if the movie does not.
Perhaps.. it's just the artstyle that makes them look similar. Who knows, who cares. Back to the waiting game.

I agree on the headgear, looks similar. But Sasha is more of an furry animal, while Cora is more.. I can't believe I'm saying this. And no, I'm not negative, I love these little creatures:
