Thread: The poll discussion thread

Isn't today the new poll? We should have a poll on when (which event) do you think Ratchet and Clank could be shown at this year. There's already some speculation on IG forums, going all the way down to next year's E3! And maybe it won't be at a specific event, maybe it'll be just a random day.

I don't think the pole should be about the new R&C game or movie, mainly because there's really nothing worth talking about at this point.

Well, then….what should it be about? Favorite RYNO? Best Qwark model (as in: ps2, Future Ps3, Spinoff Ps3, or Movie)? Coolest looking planet?

This week's poll:
What do you like about Dr. Nefarious most?
- How expressive he is
- His evil schemes
- His relationship with Lawrence
- Lance and Janice

"How expressive he is - 100%"
High five!

High five emoji Funny thing - all three games including Nefarious always seemed to have the best animation to me emoji
Have dare you make Darkstar's post invalid Heather!

Yeah but they're always late into a console generation so that gives them an advantage.
UYA was the first game in the series that felt truly finished to me and ACiT was the first PS3 game in the series that actually felt like a PS3 game and not a weird transitional one like ToD.

Although I always thought Nefarious' fingers in ACiT were a bit odd. Aren't they supposed to be metal?

UYA was the first game in the series

Am I the only one that finds UYA the least interesting game in the original trilogy? Not story-wise, but gameplay-wise both GC and the first one beat it to me.

I meant in therms of polish.
Some stuff felt really out of place in the first and second game, mainly in the sections that didn't focus on platforming or shooting.
In UYA everything blends in nicely.

Well, maybe… Can you give me an example of such sections in the first two games?

R&C1's ship sections for example.
Everything there doesn't seem like something you'd find in the final game and it feels pretty out of place.

What? The one on Pokitaru was awesome!

I'm not talking about gameplay, I'm talking about stuff like the HUD, help messages, models, ammo and health crates.

Does that really look like something you'd find in an R&C game?

Back in 2002, yeah.

Back in 2002, yeah.

I don't think so.
I mean, it just lacks the same polish as other parts in the game and isn't consistent.
In 2002 your life bar was marked by 4-8 nanotech sprites that would deplete one by one. In 2002 there were no mini maps. In 2002 you had a number telling you how many missiles you had left. In 2002 health crates were little boxes of glass with Nanotech inside of them.
These little things just make me think these sections are not polished enough to be worth putting them in the game.
