Hmm, it's a bit risqué to say that your company has screwed up at the biggest gaming conference of the year, i'm not sure if that's incredibly stupid or brave or both considering that not only are gamers watching but people invested in the company aswell.
The reason why you would say that is to outline that they are aware of their past mistakes, and that they think they can learn from them. This is in the hopes that people will feel that the company is ready to be trusted once again.
