Thread: Does playing Ratchet & Clank make you a baby???

If you'd add some humans and blood this game would be 25+.
Ratchet is not a freaking baby game. Those CoD players need to shut the hell up and do something else besides ripping bodies appart and laugh…

Well, ACiT apparently had animated blood in it, where I don't know.
I actually managed to get my brother, who is into CoD and MW and laughed when I said I like R&C, to admit that A4O was quite fun. And, sadly, when I suggested we try UYA split screen the little *bleep* got a hovership and flew round laughing at me as I ran round on the ground in tiny circles yelling NOOOOOOO and hitting him with a cushion.

Personally I prefer games that require a little skill, some tactics, and some thinking. FPSs' just dont always provide that. If that makes games 'baby' then people need to seriously rethink.

Many 10 year old kids think that Ratchet and Clank( and another example, Portal) are games for babies. So what do they do? They play Call of Duty like it was really mature…

There's just as much violence and killing in Ratchet and Clank as there is in Call of Duty. The primary difference is that there's no blood and guts, and they're robots and cartoon characters. It is pretty fantastical, but in a day and age of negotiation and security measures, who's to say a world of war isn't just as fantastical?

Ratchet and clank isn't for babies. There is quite a bit of violence and a little bit of blood. I'm 13, this game is awesome. My cousin, who is 15, loves it. That should say everything.

I'm a CoD gamer… but I love Ratchet and Clank just as much! Weird thing is that i've never actually seen a person who has played Ratchet and Clank games and Call of Duty games on PSN (Besides Ratchetruler) It's either that they're only into CoD and they haven't heard about Ratchet and Clank…

These shooters are really of this time. I don't enjoy these war-simulation games. The only FPS game series I like is Metroid Prime. Which has no humans to shoot on, but aliens. Slimy spashes on your helmed instead of flying limbs and people searchign for 'em. Neither do I like those gangster games. GTA, Driver 78, etc. This killing stuff is not for me. I like games with furry main characters, with an awesome bio, orchestrated music, beatidull worlds and last but not least; gameplay. Ratchet is not a kiddie game, I've seen kiddie games. In Ratchet you shoot, you blow things up, you destroy bosses, you walk/fly/drive thru a big world.. wow, almost like a war-simulation game. Ratchet is just the same, but what makes it different of all the 1000 of FPS games is cause there is only 1 Ratchet. The storyline and Lombaxes only excist in only thát universe. Nobody has ever made a game like it. If you give me 2 screenshots. One from CoD and the other from BiA. I won't see the differents. A gun in from of the screen and dead bodies everywhere in a sad enviroment. Just like all of the shooters.

I have nothing against these shooter games, but when the think that they're all-grown-up because they slise bodies, they no.

So the only person you know on PSN that is into R&C is almost never on PSN? Makes sense, It takes a great big forever to find a person on PSN that is into R&C.

Blood? I didn't see any blood in ACiT.. well maybe when

Azimuth killed Ratchet

for a more dramatic effect, just a little splash emoji

And i know quite alot of people who like or even love ratchet and clank, me and one of my best friends actually became friends because of Ratchet and clank, i dont think we would have talked that much if i didnt knew Ratchet and clank emoji He also plays CoD alot, and sometimes we play together, it is quite fun actually, if you get used to it. And i never met a person saying that Ratchet and clank is for babies, another friend thinks Ratchet and clank is a bit childish but thats cause he never played it before (except SM, which is not the best game to describe RaC).

…. WAIT…. you can't handle a hovership??

I think some people who say things like "Ratchet and Clank is for babies" tend to rate things on the graphics; I've seen people say "Team Fortress 2 is for babies", despite the fact that TF2 has a 15+ rating and just as much, if not more gore than CoD, but they say that because the graphics are "cartoony" and CoD is "realistic", so a possibility of them saying that is because of the art-style of the Ratchet games.
On that matter, some long time Ratchet fans have said that All 4 One and FFA look like Insomniac Games are "targeting a baby audience" because the graphics are slightly more cartoony!

What?? Who says Portal is babyish? emoji
I can kind of understand what people mean when they talk about Ratchet and Clank looking bayish, but in what way is Portal even remotely babyish?
It's technically a FPS, there was some gore (in the first Portal, not the second), there's a lot of dark/grim humour, in Portal 2 there was some moderate language and some of the puzzles towards the end of Portal 2's single-player and throughout the co-op are way beyond really young children!

Well i think its because the robots do sound quite childish.. and the game is 6+ here in Switzerland.

It's 12+ or 7+ here. But that doesn't matter. 6 year olds play 18+ games here too.

Video game ratings have lower standards in Europe than America also.

(I'll be the 75th person to say this) I'm turning 19 in two days, and Ratchet and Clank is my favorite game series. In fact, I asked my parents tp get me the original trilogy in HD for my birthday.

There was no blood in ACiT. There has never been any blood in a R&C game. The closest thig we get to blood, is the slime that comes out of some aliens when they explode, but that's hardly considered blood.

some games just don't need blood, I've noticed Uncharted does pretty well without it (well there is a little blood, just no gore or exploding people. They really kept it to a minimal level)

Frankly, I feel bloody games are extremely overrated, which is one reason I enjoy the Ratchet and Clank games; while they do have violence, it doesn't get carried away with it. I don't think I'm a baby at all for having those ideals.
