Thread: Naughty Dog vs. Insomniac Games

I guess…still better than the first game's plot (not that it was bad either, but there were just too many plot holes…emoji

First game's story had too many plot holes to be considered good? Well, if we are judging plots by the number of plot holes they have, ACiT has probably the worst story in the series…

Again with the masterfull ACiT emoji

Even UYA had plot-holes with the Qwark vid-comics (unless they aren't true at all). Pretty much every game has plot-holes somehow…

So why are they your major concern about the first games' story? To be honest, I can't even bring any to my mind right now.

Oops, sorry for swearing guys. ^^

I don't usually look for plot holes as hard as you guys do. What plot holes are we talking about with R&C1 and UYA? Because I'll attempt to defend them if I can.

The only one I can really think of is Ratchet not immediately going to Veldin after finding Drek's Infobot on Quartu.

Well I don't see that as a plot hole, because if I wanted to stop Drek I' check his fleet before I check the planet as well.

Also, did Ratchet have coordinates for Veldin?

I'll bring you guys back to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRNgqrBGQcY
Somehow, Clank sees a poster of Captain Qwark, and assumes that this guy can help stop chairman Drek. Ratchet doesn't even TELL Clank who he is, and instead, they end up on a wild goose chase.
Ratchet wants to find Qwark, Clank wants to find Drek, but they go through many pointless planets to find them.

Now, I know that this is a video game. It's supposed to be long, and they didn't have a real script writer like TJ, so I'll cut them some slack.

Maybe it would make sense, as Drek would want his robots to recognize Qwark as a good guy. You know, he may be a lot different, but some pieces of programming could've stayed.

Seriously? That's really nitpicking. And again - ACiT, a game that had a 'real writer' is filled with much more plot holes. Does it make it's story bad? Not that much. It's not a problem in R&C1 either.

I think I remember seeing someone online somewhere with that as their quote. emoji
