I'm excited for the re-imagined R&C, but never played the original PS2 game. Only the demo.
But you've played an R&C game. My friends owns all of them (has for a year or two now) and hasn't played any!

Ratchet 1 is my favourite game of all time. but the best one is A Crack in Time imo.

Perhaps I should explain in greater detail. Favorite isn't the same as good. I say that Ratchet and Clank 1 is my favorite. but it's still very flawed. A Crack in Time is the most refined, best paced, and most fun game in the whole franchise.
R&C1? No way! The Future Saga is da bomb! Back in the PS2 days, I actually prefered Sly over R&C. The Future Saga turned that all around. 
Yeah, I actually prefer the Future saga, but I actually also plan to buy the HD collection.
